DIVERSITY STATEMENT
There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, geographical location, national origin, race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.
WHO CAN JOIN?
If you hold an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university, you are eligible to join AAUW. If you are an undergraduate in a two-or-four-year regionally accredited educational institution, you can join as a student affiliate. An E-student affiliate (ESAF) attends an AAUW partner institution and joins for free; a student affiliate (SAF) does not attend a member institution.
Are you a Juniata student? Join us for free!
Because Juniata College is an AAUW college member, Juniata students may join AAUW for free. In addition, AAUW Huntingdon Branch and AAUW-PA both waive dues for students. Students from non-member institutions can join for $18.18 annually.
Huntingdon Branch membership also includes membership in the national AAUW organization and AAUW Pennsylvania.
Members have several benefits beyond the opportunity to work for the mission.

Members also receive Keystoner from AAUW Pennsylvania and the Branch annual yearbook. Members are included on an email listserv for branch program notifications and messages.

Annual membership and dues
Membership lasts from the date you join to the same date the following year. For members who have had continuous memberships since before 2022, the renewal date is June 30 of each year.
Dues are currently $91, divided as follows: $72 to AAUW, of which $69 is tax deductible as a charitable contribution; $12 to AAUW Pennsylvania; and $7 to AAUW Huntingdon Branch. Dues cover only a portion of the costs of AAUW research, advocacy, and operations at all levels.

Life memberships
Life memberships in national AAUW are honorary or paid.
A member who has paid national AAUW dues for 50 years is considered a 50-year Honorary Life Member and exempt from the payment of dues at all levels of the organization.
Any member who wishes to become a paid life member pays in a lump sum twenty times the annual national dues, currently $1440 (fully tax deductible), and pays no further national dues during her lifetime (thus avoiding dues increases down the road). Paid life members continue to pay AAUW PA and Huntingdon Branch dues (currently $12 + $7) annually.
An AAUW national life membership is $1,440 and is fully tax deductible.

Your check for your annual dues should be made out to “AAUW Huntingdon Branch”; Charlotte will tell you how to submit your payment.
