WHO CAN JOIN?

If you hold an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university, you are eligible to join AAUW. If you are an undergraduate in a two-or-four-year regionally accredited educational institution, you can join as a student affiliate. An E-student affiliate (ESAF) attends an AAUW partner institution; a student affiliate (SAF) does not.

Because Juniata College is an AAUW college member, students there may join AAUW for free. In addition, AAUW Huntingdon Branch and AAUW-PA both waive dues for students. Students from non-member institutions can join for $18.81 yearly.

Huntingdon Branch membership also includes membership in the national AAUW organization and AAUW Pennsylvania.

Members receive AAUW information on issues and individuals affecting women and girls today. Action Network briefs alert you to congressional actions on issues that can change your life. Members also receive Keystoner from AAUW Pennsylvania and the Branch annual yearbook. Members are included on an email listserv for branch program notifications and messages.

Members are also eligible for discounts for AAUW books and merchandise, credit cards, magazine subscriptions, quality health and life insurance plans, auto insurance, books, and more.

There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, geographical location, national origin, race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status.

Yearly dues

Yearly dues (from your date of joining) are $91, divided as follows: $72 to AAUW, $12 to AAUW-Pennsylvania, and $7 to the Huntingdon Branch. Checks should be made out to “AAUW Huntingdon Branch.” Note: All but $3 of your national dues is tax deductible!

Life membership

Life membership in national AAUW is currently $1440. In addition, life members continue to pay AAUW-PA and Huntingdon Branch dues of $19 annually. A member who has paid national AAUW dues for 50 years is considered a 50-year Honorary Life Member and exempt from the payment of dues.
